In order for us to understand sexual sins we must have an understanding of sin itself.  The bible teaches that God never tempts us with sin.  James 1:14-15, states "But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his lust and enticed, then when lust have conceived it bringeth forth sin and when sin is finished it bringeth forth death."  As Christians we are told in the bible to flee from sexual sins.  The reason for that is obvious as we look around at the many people (fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, pastors, brethren, teenagers) who find themselves in the grip of sexual sins.  For many these sexual sins become unmanageable, the Bible calls this lust.  Lust is commonly fueled by the following three things: pornography, masturbation, and a lack of controlling one's thoughts (sexual fantasy).     

Lust in the life of an individual leads to uncontrollable thoughts (fantasies), rituals, acting out, and despair.  Despite negative consequences in relationships with spouses, children, family, friends or work, the lustful person continues to feed on the trough of sexual sins.  In order to deal with lust one must confess and forsake (Proverbs 28:13).  The bible says, "Brothers, even if a person is caught in some trespass, you who have the Spirit should restore him in a spirit of meekness watching out for yourselves so that you won't be tempted too." (Galations 6:1)
